The perspective of a husband who supported his wife in her losing battle with Stage 4 melanoma cancer. Meagan was a remarkable woman who endured many insults from this terrible disease with grace, courage and resilience.
We live in Seattle and have two boys. One graduated from Pomona College, with the intention of going to graduate school in Architecture in the next two years; the other is taking time off from college and looking to transfer to our local university, and both are living at home and working part-time or planning on interim schooling. I retired from my role as Executive Director of a private family foundation to support Meagan. Prior to ten years of nonprofit and philanthropic work, I spent twenty years in the private business sector, culminating with a job at Microsoft as Vice President, Worldwide Operations.
